Year 3 and 4 Cheltenham Music Performance

Our Year 3 and 4 pupils joined 300 peers to perform at Cheltenham Town Hall.
On a cold Monday morning, our Year 3 and 4 pupils jumped on a coach to Cheltenham along with their instruments.
They had been invited to take part in a concert at Cheltenham Town Hall along with peers from across the county who receive whole class ensemble teaching from Gloucestershire Music. The aim was to showcase the talents of the children and also give the children the chance to perform.
Although many were nervous when they stood on stage, this didn't show and they all performed brilliantly and wowed the other watching children.
Jacob, from Year 3, said, "I was nervous and excited before because I haven't played a musical instrument in front of people before. But I felt very proud afterwards."
We made the decision to invest in this excellent teaching this year to give all our pupils the opportunity to learn a range of instruments and take part in exciting events as they move through the school. We are delighted that the children enjoyed the experience.
A huge thanks to Mrs Bright and Mrs Farrier for organising the trip and for all the adults who went along to look after and support the children.
