Young Voices 2025

Cam Everlands children join 6000 others in world's largest choir
At 11.30am on Wednesday 26th February, 25 children from the Year 5 and 6 classes set out on an adventure to Birmingham.
The destination was the BP Pulse Live Arena where they would be joining around 6000 children from other primary schools across the country to take part in Young Voices 2025.
From the moment we got on the bus, there was singing to be done! This carried on almost without gaps until we reached Birmingham whereupon we disembarked the coach and found our way to our seats. Soon after, the rehearsals started and the enormity of the event struck the children as they joined in with all of the other children to rehearse the songs which would be performed in the evening.
Come 7pm and the show began. Despite having been singing (and dancing) for many hours already, the children performed with amazing levels of energy - no doubt fuelled by the adrenaline of performing with so many other children and in front of a crowd which must have been at least 4000 parents and families. The children supported Souparnika Nair (Britain's Got Talent), Tommy Blaize (Strictly Come Dancing) and also MC Grammar when they performed on stage - a wonderful experience and opportunity.
The day ended just before 11.30pm when we arrived back at school. Needless to say, the coach was much quieter on the return journey!
The children were absolutely brilliant throughout the day. They behaved incredibly well all day and were excellent ambassadors for the school. We're really proud of all of them.
A huge thank you to Mrs Sinclair who both rehearsed the children for months beforehand and also battled with the admin of the tickets. It was her commitment to providing this opportunity for our children.
More big thank you's are also due to Mrs Stephens and Mrs Brown who accompanied the children, helping to keep them coralled and also bringing the party spirit!
Jennie O'Reilly needs a special shout-out for braving a bus full of children and supporting us on the day. Her dancing inspired many of the children too!
Finally, a big thank you to the numerous families who drove a long way to support the children. Although we didn't know exactly where you were sat when performing, knowing we had a big crowd of supporters out in the darkness gave extra motivation.
We know everyone loved the experience and are already planning Young Voices 2026! See you there.
