Knex Challenge in Year 5

Renishaw Plc set Year 5 a Knex Challenge!
We were visited by Rosie and Amy from Renishaw who set us a challenge to create a warehouse that was capable of sorting and delivering goods. It needed to be strong, practical, useful and innovative. The children rose to the challenge brilliantly creating models that were sustainable, used exciting methods of storage and retrieval, built-in drone and QR code systems, forklift trucks, grappling equipment and water guns to aid the delivery of goods. Our Amazon warehouse creators of the future!
We had a really difficult job of choosing our winners as the entries were all so very good. However, we put our heads together and for a no-fuss design which was created with incredible teamwork and innovation, the team going forward to the finals at Renishaw in Wotton-under-Edge are Jacob and Nausicaa. Well done to our winners and to all those who participated and presented their designs to the judging team.
