We started the day early on the coach and after arriving in London made our way to The Palace of Westminster. We watched a film and then had a tour of Parliament where we learnt the history of Parliament, about what MPs do, about the colours used in Parliament represent and so much more. 

After lunch in the park with a view of the London Eye and River Thames, we headed over to Westminster Abbey. We saw the Coronation Chair and the Grave of the Unknown Warrior before finding memorials to famous scientists and poets. 

It was a great day out in our capital city.
