myHappymind
myHappymind is a whole-school programme designed to support children’s mental health, wellbeing, and personal development. Based on neuroscience and positive psychology, it helps primary school children understand how their brains work and learn practical strategies to manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.
The programme is delivered through engaging lessons, activities, and discussions that are appropriate for each age group. It focuses on key areas such as building self-esteem, developing resilience, understanding emotions, forming positive relationships, and practising mindfulness. Children learn simple techniques to help them stay calm, focus their attention, and respond positively to challenges.
A key benefit of the myHappymind curriculum is that it equips children with lifelong skills to support their emotional wellbeing both in school and beyond. By helping children develop a positive mindset and a greater understanding of themselves, the programme supports confidence, happiness, and readiness to learn. It also encourages a shared language around wellbeing across the school community, helping children feel supported, valued, and empowered.
